I certainly hope so. I am hoping the demise of the RNC topples the DNC, and we are left with no major political parties. Maybe then PO1 William "Chip" Nagel we can have many candidates on the general election ballot all with their core support, and see which is the one the people truly want. You will never convince me that two people represent the whole of our nations political views.

That would be New and Different. Haven't had that since 1787 when the Federalist created the first US Political Party.

Most likely, but it's their own fault. Somewhere after the Eisenhower era they started allowing what I call the whacky conservatives get more and more control within the party. As these factions gained control the needs of the American people began to lose ground to the causes of these whacky conservatives. I was born & raised Republican, but the more I saw the party pushing the agendas of these conservatives rather than the overall needs of the people, the more disenchanted I became. The rise of the Tea Party within the GOP was my final straw. The GOP no longer represents the average American citizen, it represents the agendas, without exception, of the whacky conservatives and while there may be a lot with that persuasion out there, they aren't the majority of Americans.
