I have an rPi2, rPi3 and an oDroid-C2. Each have their usefulness. of all the distros I've played with chrome OS sucks the most. I have an ubuntu distro on one and the deb wheezy on my rPi2. For the rPi2 i've a few ssd's set up with different OS's or embedded linux for things like Kodi or even Plex. pi's are easy to set up and there are plenty of images out there to play around with to determine each of their strengths and weaknesses.

Cpl (Join to see) How does it work as a Kodi box. I am looking to go to a NAS or server/ client configuration for my HTPC. Right now I use an i5 system with 5 HDD's crammed into a modified DVD player case as my current configuration.

It's fine as a client. i wouldn't use it for a NAS. I have a 4 bay QNAP which I use as a media/file server. The QNAP can decode hd on the fly for all of my mobile devices. Neither of the PIs or oDroid can do that. Personally I'm more interested in the home automation with the devices; small and easily configurable. The PI3 has 4k hdmi out and I have it set up with PLEX even though I don't really need it. However porting the free windows 10 IoT distro, I'm writing a .net voice command appliance.

I still think the PocketCHIP is the coolest. The CloudBit is interesting too, though.
