A Few Schools Reopen, But Remote Learning Could Go On For Years In U.S.

I think this would be a disservice to our kids especially the graduating classes. I have a 7th grader and it's been rough keeping her engaged with her school work. They are using the computer but I too am on the computer with my job and cant be over her shoulder to make sure she is doing her work.

My kids have been using Chromebooks in school for years. This year, before the pandemic, they took it a step further by having "distance learning days" built into the school year. They stayed home, communicated with their teachers through email and video conferencing, and did all the same class work. The only difference was having to get up at 6:00 and catch the bus. So when the schools closed, the district was already prepared.
