It won't be long before AI jets take over a fair amount of the fighter jock roles. A lot of the airframe is used for keeping the pilot secure and alive and the performance of the aircraft is limited by the physical limitations of the pilot.

No disrespect to the impressive capabilities of the pilots, but it is clearly a job that AIs can do better in the very near future.
