The irony and hypocrisy isn't new for many GOPers. They are for state's rights until the issue is something they disagree with; i.e. marijuana, LGBT equality laws, abortion, disaster relief, gun control, climate change, etc. Everything is subject to lawsuit that could elevate to SCOTUS anyway.

If I wanted to live in a nation where everyone in a political party votes lockstep. I'd probably emigrate to North Korea, Communist China, etc. etc....
Lock step voting is a sign of group think, and party over constituents. Definitely doesn't make America great again.
