A kid finds an abandoned gun — and the mom pulls the trigger to see if it’s real

By the grace of God it was pointed in a safe direction and thankfully nobody was hurt. Definitely better ways to find out if it's real!

Good thing no one was injured. I can understand one not knowing how to properly clear a weapon, pulling the trigger inside a store is not one of the recommended or approved methods.

SrA Edward Vong Almost anything would be a better choice. I have a friend who got a new shotgun, she was showing it to us. One of our dumbass friends picked it up, looked down the barrel, and asked "Is it loaded?" The look on my friend's face was equal parts shock, amazement, and rage. My son and I collect knives swords and axes. Whenever dumbass asks to see the newest part of the collection our response is "Is it loaded?" Pretty sure it makes him feel stupid. Definitely sure it should.
