Always, always, always train on non-electronic equipment first, master the basics, then add the advanced gear. It is a much bigger learning curve to go from all this tech back to the basics. And believe me, I am a huge proponent of tech use in the military. But, one EMP and you are out of business!

I qualified on iron sights and had no trouble, MSG (Join to see)! Frankly, I never even had the opportunity to use optics, but it would have been fun to give them a try.
