I like stories like this. I'm glad when these Heroes get the MoH while they are alive to be recognized.

TSgt David L. I agree as well. Each time a MOH recipient is named I find myself hoping this is not a posthumous award. That doe not mean a deceased warrior should not be likewise acknowledged. Quite the contrary. On YouTube, there is a channel that is all the living (living at the time these videos were made) MOH heroes (Vietnam) talking about the award and their own life (to a small degree.) It is interesting that these men each of these men were adamant in giving credit to every man involved in the action. One man was totally blown away by the following: There were 42 men to start off and at the end, there were only 12 surviving. The MOH guy said that each of the 12 was no less deserving than he had acted and that actually had not all 42 men not done their own jobs then the entire group would have died in that mud. The message I take away from these videos is that these men were all selfless even now, years later. True American Heroes, men whose lives should be memorialized in print.
