This certainly seems to be an upgrade from the Flynn appointment. I wish the good general well.

I'm for him for the position but am at odds at the new precedent of an active duty general officer can serve in a Presidential Cabinet position meant for a civilian.

I stand corrected. I was only 12 when Powell served as Reagan's Nat'l Security Advisor; no memory lapse, too young to remember; thanks for looking it up. I'm still at odds with a active duty general officer serving in that position.

I'm thinking it might mean that he wants to keep his day job if this advisor gig goes south, which of course, could happen at any moment under this POTUS.

SSgt Gary Andrews - dude, "I was 12" was both true and myself trying to lighten the mood. Note I also said thanks. Trying to be sincere for at least one out of twenty tries on here. LOL!
