As CMP members seem to be able to order how ever much they want it cheapens the system IMHO. I hear guys brag they got X amount of Garand's then sold them. I expect the same with the 1911's.

No, M1911s are a raffle system. Only one M1911 per person from the raffle or the auction.
They reduced number of M1 Garands that can be purchased last year.
CMP is open to all that meet certain qualifications. Military service counts in place of being a member if a club and having shot in certain matches.
