i am glad this case is proceeding. She had the information about the genetics and family history and the Army screwed it up. She probably should have gone for private screening.

I'm not sure about this. My wife wasn't feeling well and noticed some lumps. She got a mammogram and was told they were caused by a hard knock against her breast. She didn't trust the diagnosis and got a second opinion. That doctor did an immediate biopsy and cursed out the other doctor.

It's called the practice of medicine for a reason and half the doctors out there finished in the bottom half of their class.

Always, always, always get a second opinion.

Amen! I almost lost my right leg below the knee in Jan. '85 while on REFORGER when a doctor at Landstuhl screwed up. It's a long story. Suffice it to say, the division surgeon saw me while I was headed to the redeployment assembly area and got me to the 93d Evac. Hosp. in Frankfurt where I was properly treated . . .
