Look when you reluve something that has happened and you really do have PTSD not everyone can control it. It is a damn mental break!! Shit I should know!! For over a year I couldnt walk into a large store bc of the amount of people, the men and feeling like I would be cornered at any moment. Im also a red head and when cornered or pissed i just react typically verbally. Not to mention the panic attacks i would have. When you feel threatened you react. Maybe this guy didnt know how else to communicate. As medical professionals its our job to aide people. But that is slowly getting lost. I have saved lives bc of my training just like this man was broken by his. So next time maybe help him calm down so communication isnt an issue. Oh and by the way if hes pissed with you send someone calm and kind they usually respond better.

SGT (Join to see) - I also have high anxiety like you. I am able to read people quickly so i know if I need to run or im ok. I have been where you were. I tried committing suicide didnt work. I was a lucky girl. God has other plans for me. I've been so stressed that i immitate having clusters of seizures but in reality its panic attacks. I do have epilepsy so it was scary for a while. So i know how you guys feel. I went to war at home for 15 years. Im a survivor. Yes i have my quirks but underneath im the kindest and truest person you would ever meet.

As I am, but don't try to screw me over or treat me like I'm dirt. I will get in your face. I try to be polite and fun wherever I go, but my high alert button is always on. I'm so sorry you were in a violent relationship. My first marriage was a violent one. I broke my back trying to be a good husband and father, but she was screwing the whole neighborhood when I worked nights. I didn't get violent with her, but I did crap on her because my attorney was a good one, and she didn't even show up for court. The judge was really pissed. I was glad. LOL

SFC George Smith, If you act nice, and not like a serial killer, the VA does provide help nowadays. I've seen vets act like this guy and they were trying to prove they have problems. I'm not saying they didn't have problems, but you don't have to threaten the staff or act weird that you want to kill people. I was as screwed up as anyone, but all I wanted was help. I didn't have to do anything to prove I was fucked up.

Pamela Sarikianos, His case is typical at a lot of bases. It's just not broadcast to the public. It is sad that they go in for help, and instead, are punished. They didn't have to do that to him. They could have sent him to a Psych ward and check him out. They are what's called, collateral damage.
