I could run that project Col Burroughs.. I was Accenture Tier 1 Consultant and worked for Homeland Security and ICE with servers and systems I setup for them in the cloud. I was a Lead Technical Architect for that kind of thing and am open for working again for our guys.

I would really like the US have a massive digital historical archive consisting of the Smithsonian and other museums documents

I would too, it took me 60 years to find the Rev War records of my Patriot ancestor, and I found them on the web page called FOLD Three. But you are correct, as great as our country is, there should be a central location for all these historic records, and the technology is defiantly here to do that very thing!

I would think so, from the story posted they even found documents with John Hancock's signature in some of these records!
