A Tribute to Band Of Brothers Major Richard "Dick" Winters (Watch)

Dick Winters was one fine Army officer. I liked it when he talked about his grand daughter asking him "Were you a hero in the war, Grand Pa?" and he said "No!! But I served with a lot of guys who were heroes."....

MAJ Winters was a great Officer. I'm glad that thanks to Stephen Ambrose we were all able to learn of him and the men of Easy Company. Thanks for the post! If you're ever in Toccoa, GA near June 6th or the first weekend in October they have a 3 mile Run/ Walk up and 3 mile down Currahee Mountain where all of the 506th and other regiments trained. It's well worth adding to your bucket list and be sure to visit the museum by the train station downtown!
