Lt Col Charlie Brown I Wouldn't Call it a Difficult Spot, India has always Portrayed Itself as the Leader of the "Non-Aligned" Nations, Sometimes working with buying from Russia. Other Times from the US and UK. I Know as a Spook I was Always Impressed How they Would Hybrid Weapons Sytems From Both Sides. I Remember when Iran Needed Someone to Repair the Kilo Subs they Bought from Russia they Hired India.

Good article. Indian relations are about trade and mutual ideologies. India wants cheap Russian oil and uses Russian defense systems. Modi is a Hindu supremacist leader much like Putin is a Russian Orthodox Christian supremacist.
