If they believe a revised bill might pass then they are suggesting that Trump and Ryan need to start leaning that bill towards the center thus pissing off the Freedom Caucus again. What a circus.

The more painful Trump care winds up being, the sooner we can get Medicare for all passed. Provided of course we can prevent the Democrats from once again waylaying progress with a huge giveaway to the insurance companies.

SSG (Join to see) - I'll keep the baseline I currently have rather than the horrible train wreck Medicaid is, single payer systems sound very appealing but are a disaster to anyone who has seen the private system work. The downside to your approach is once Medicaid is universal the middle class cannot afford supplemental insurance, only the rich get good coverage under government run healthcare programs.

SGT Tony Clifford - Spot on, public disclosure of average historical prices would go a long way in choosing your doctor and lowering costs. Deregulating the AMA monopoly would have massive benefits.

SGT Tony Clifford - Yes, and there is no shortage of data available to prove it. http://www.accuracy.org/release/medicares-50-years-of-low-overhead-vs-acas-increasing-bureaucratic-bloat-merger-mania/
Medicare’s 50 Years of Low Overhead vs. ACA’s Increasing Bureaucratic Bloat, “Merger Mania” |...
Last week the trustees of the Medicare program, whose 50th anniversary is this Thursday (see accuracy.org/calendar), released their annual report. It showed that traditional Medicare overhead amounts are about 2 percent of the program’s expenditures. That figure sharply contrasts with the 12 percent to 14 percent overhead typical of private health insurance companies. [PDF]

SGT Tony Clifford - VA is incredibly underfunded and therefor unable to meet requirements. If you need a new car and the best you can afford is a Pontiac Aztek, perhaps you should up your budget.

I guess they gave up on that part about posting the bill and allowing the public to see it and give feedback to their representatives before voting on it. That was a big complaint they had with Obamacare. But now they have resorted to working in secret, making deals, and now plan to rush to the floor for a quick vote if they ever get enough votes to pass it.
