In 1972 I was an Escort CAP Officer with two CAP Cadets on the IACE, International Air Cadet Exchange being hosted by the CAF, Chinese Air Force, (Taiwan) this picture is Me with the two CAP Cadets and Officers from the CAF. At that point I was a member of the 7th Cadet Squadron, Hawaii Wing, Civil Air Patrol. The two Cadets were from CO and CA Wings. The following year I was Commandant of Cadets at the Hawaii Wing Summer Encampment at Hickham AFB, HI where I was stationed with the USAF I also had run a one full week Cadet Officer school prior to another Hawaii Wing Encampment to train those that were selected as Squadron or Group Officers at the encampment.

I spent over 40 years in Civil Air Patrol, two as a Cadet and 38 more as an adult leader. The entire time I was in the USAF I still stayed active in CAP serving in MA, CO, MO and HI. I spent a lot of My time training Cadets in both Military Education as well as Aerospace Education . My father and brother were also active members of CAP also for over 40 years in MA.

In addition to the Cadet training I had participated in Air search and Rescue Missions with CAP mostly in MA and MO. Also in MA We manned the Alternate Net Control station for MA Wing CAP then Fixed base CAP radio call sign of Freedom 540 with a 350 watt transmitter.
