It's because the Russian Little Green Men, possibly some who helped take over illegally land in East Crimea, were wiped out by an AC-130 spooky. This is why the Russians are jamming now!

Capt Brandon Charters When in doubt open fire. Keep firing until they run out of ammo, or the jamming stops and they have communication restored. Accidentally blew up a Russian "radar site" oops, our mistake let us get you a latte to say we are very sorry for blowing up your radar, funny thing the radar was interfering with our communications. I guess we can make it a venti latte.
