Jerry, the national debt for student loans is atrocious and one of the worst open secrets in society. 1.4 trillion and climbing. The collegiate institution has lost its grounding on the purpose and importance of educating society.

I agree, but would also like to bring up the "predatory" nature of lending institutions that allow for the "robo-signing" of college loans. Understanding credit and leveraging has taken down the largest Corporations that are ran by Ivy League Executives. Should we expect individuals to do better or understand more about credit/debt management. Individuals are held accountable by way of credit scores, college loans are exempt from bankruptcy law, so they will follow you like a bad case of herpes. lol
