Chip, most of those guys are paid pretty well but sometimes they are a little to comfortable or close to the bad guy way of life if you get me. One of my favorite terps was an American but was born and raised there. However, he lived in America and had a wife and kids. My last trip over, I kind of got to know and trust him. I told him if the CDR went anywhere he went with him. I told that translating/interpreting for the boss was only part of his mission. I told him make sure the boss comes back safe, and he did. He was great, however, he kind of liked kicking the hornets nest when he got a chance hahaha

yea that is kind of what got him sent to us, he was at one our A-camps but had a hornet nest kicking incidents so they sent him to us. I had a couple American contractors show up one day and say they wanted to speak to him he was getting fired. Apparently he was a jackass to all the other terps. They all lived together, I guess kind of a terp village. Anyway all that to say I talked to the contractor said I would move him out within a few hours, and he would work just for the CDR. It must have been good enough they let me have him. I found him a spot in a area that was ours, no terps, told him to move asap. I let him know he worked for the CDR and did whatever he needed, he was to have nothing to do with the other terps, nothing. I took it a step further and said if he fuck this up he was gone. We had no more problems, hopefully our replacements had no issues as well.
