We don't know the WHOLE story...so there is that..
Seems strange, the UK seems to allow any immigrant in, why would they deny this one?
All of the Terps that worked for me (us) that wanted to immigrate to the US have, and doing quite well here in the states. Ive stayed in touch with two of them. A Third came to the US, but has since left to live in another country (not Iraq) and is doing well and enjoying a life he could not have had, before or after helping US forces had he stayed in his homeland.
The point? From my seat, Terps that wanted to immigrate and were not automatically disqualified because of criminal activity have...making me wounder ...is this just a UK issue of not allowing their Terps to immigrate?
Am I not seeing the many US Terps denied US immigration and have a skewed opinion because of it?
Or is there something in THAT terps vetting that was the actual cause of his denial?
