That is not a good idea IMHO PO1 Tony Holland.
Those of us who know how to apply tourniquets know they should only be applied in life or death situations since application of a tourniquet that is left untreated by medical professionals for too long can well lead to amputation of the limb or gangrene.

PO1 Tony Holland Sometimes I wish My Learning Curve Stopped, I'm an Old Man Now a Grandpa. Fortunately/Unfortunately that hasn't happened. Now a MOAB Graduate, Still Taking Courses in First Aid. I am a Survivor of Drug Shock when I was a Young Lad with an Experimental Drug. Mt Pinatubo, Fiery Vigil and an Attempt on My Life in London in Retaliation for El Dorado Canyon. I'm a Survivor of to Begin with Born above the Dump for the Manhattan Project . Exposed to Zinc Cadmium Sulfide as a toddler as part of an Army Experiment in St Louis. By All Reasonable Expectations, I Should Be Dead (I don't have the Common Courtesy to Lay Down and Die) I Should be Sterile, I have 5 Grandchildren. Those that Wish Me Dead! What is Taking You or Your God So Long?
