Aid to Ukraine and Israel should never be tied to domestic issues like border security. We need to force our politicians to write bills that are singular in nature so the only thing being voted on is the entire bill.

Absolutely, this whole aid to those countries issue is pure politics. Which I totally do not understand.

Someone with your rank should understand that protecting the sovergnity of Ukraine is protecting the US first. How soon you have forgotten the Cold War days when the stated goal of the Soviet Union was European domination. Spending money today to send weapons to Ukraine, and not troops IS protecting us and he concept of sovereign democratic nations. Providing weapons manufactured in the US, and providing American employment by the way, is certainly better than allowing Ukraine to fall and the inevitable return to Cold War troop levels and spending in Europe.
Apparently you are one of those who buy into the softening of Russian intentions simply because they changed their name from the Soviet Union. I for one firmly believe that the former KGB officer, Putin has the same objective as he had then, domination of Europe and return to the "glory" of the Soviet Union.

No disagreement over Putin, but our own government leaders are consistently stumbling around congress like the president. Prioritizing bills and doing them separately, with no attachments would demonstrate a much more efficient government and highlight those not on board with specific issues. Their own worst enemy.
