The A-10s capacity for carrying cannon rounds is significantly higher than the fighter planes. It is ridiculous to compare the two.

This headline is misleading. The article states that all the A-10's did was a show of force (do a fly-by and launch flares) The fighting was done by Afghan A-29's, MI-17's and a US Reaper. The A-10's must have their own marketing department.

I absolutely love that slow, indestructible, badasd flying tank. It made my day to watch them fly over in the Gulf War. Hooah! AF is out if its mind in not loving that aircraft. The Army will take it in a heartbeat if the AF hadn't fixed the wing issues. AF hates close ground support except for fighters for some reason. Those AF pilots in the 10's ROCK!
