How about using condoms instead? They don’t have all the side effects, don’t require a perscription, purchase of them is confidential if you pay cash and they work to prevent hiv transmission.

Condoms work at preventing hiv for gay and straight folks alike. Either wrap that rascal or try being in a monogamous relationship with someone who also only has you as a sexual partner.
