Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Most Definitely, I'm Pretty Sure with the VSTOL Capability Means More Stuff that can Go Wrong and there is a Learning Curve with any New Technology and Sometimes It Takes a Long Time, One Need Only Look at the V-22 Osprey, Called a Flying Marine Coffin in My Day. Only History Will be the Judge on this Airframe.

Yup, way before your time, but support for SR-71 was a huge issue but we did it. Your V-22 example is a good one. Heck, the FB-111 that I flew was a puzzle to maintainers when we went on cross country trips. Technology always pushes the ability to support a weapon system away from home station. Some things never change.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I didn't Know You were a FB-111 Jockey, I spent a Month at RAF Lakenheath (I Hate the Sound of that Stupid Afterburner) and I handled the Messages at CINCUSNAVEUR London for Eldorado Canyon, I Liked the FB-111.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Yup, it was an awesome aircraft. Cost of maintaining and small fleet size did it in. Think it could still be doing the job today if not for that.
