I don't think it will be hard to replace the A-10's capabilities. So long it's those capabilities or better they concentrate on.

How about just building some new A-10's? Cheap. Reliable. Loved by those who fly them. Loved by those who depend on them for air cover.

The platform works for the job it was designed for. Think it's a good idea to just build new ones. Why fix something that isn't broke.

Thanks for the story. I guess Senator McCain left no ass for the General a while back. I had seen some of these stories in Popular Mechanics and the SF had brought back old OV-10 Broncos from the Boneyard to do battle against ISIL
