Talk about a "basket of deplorables"! We can expect more of this. As the Trump administration moves forward with their agenda, the people who don't like his foreign and military policies will take it out on military personnel. It happened during the Viet Nam era and will probably happen in the last half of this Decade. Don't look for the press or public adulation of veterans to continue. Liberal Democrats have hidden their hate for the military behind a thin veneer of patriotic appreciation following Mr. Obama's model. When BHO is gone, they will again show their true colors.

A deeper reading of the article showed that those booing did not know this was the family of a soldier killed in service to his country. The pilot only said they were a "special military family." Accounts from the family also indicate that the booing may have only come from First Class passengers who were upset that they didn't get to exit first. They were not sure if any booing at all had come from Coach.
I agree that the passengers that thought it was acceptable to boo a special military family deserve a smack upside the head, however I also recognize that this story is propaganda designed to outrage. Media is more interested in manipulating the emotions of Americans than ensuring people really understand what happened and why.

Very well stated IMV. While booing anyone is not a particularly classy action, it is pretty clear that those that booed this "special military family" had no idea what it was that made it special ... and why they were being given preferential treatment. Once again the media has sought and attained the low ground.
