No they shouldn't be. Embryos aren't children.

You really want to run down this rabbit hole? Ok - if "life" begins at conception than that means the sperm donor who impregnated the person starts paying child support at conception. Whoever the person carrying names as the one who caused the impregnation - whether they are or not. I mean life starts at conception and can't do a DNA test right away to determine paternity so guess that guy is just screwed until paternity can be established right? Since "life' begins at conception.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - I think he meant the IVF patients should be worried.

This is what we said when Roe was overturned...they'd come after IVF. There are legislators trying to get rid of birth control and there are prosecutors who have filed charges on women who miscarried...

So what's next? Are they gonna regulate our menstrual cycles too? Is there going to be a national database tracking our menstural cycles? What will they do if someone has an irregular cycle? Filter through her menstrual blood to make sure no fertilized eggs that didn't implant aren't in there. Because there are times an egg is fertilized but doesn't implant in the uterine wall. So are we going to to go that route next?

I mention in a response - are those who inseminate going to be on the hook for child support as soon as there is a positive pregnancy test result? Even if they aren't the one who caused impregnation? I mean can't do a DNA test right away...

I don't understand how anyone is ok with this. Oh wait - it doesn't affect them that's why. Until it does, THEN it's an issue.
