With asylum applications at around 200 per day at ports of entr, maybe applications should be handled within the country of origin at the US embassy and forwarded to the proper channels for approval/disapproval..That would prevent the current situation..

These are mothers who are fleeing rape and gang violence and have been traumatized and are seeking asylum. No mother should ever separated from her baby not even in prison. And even criminals in prison, parents are allowed daily visitation with their children. The Moms and Babies program at the minimum-security prison allows some incarcerated women who give birth in custody to keep their newborn infants with them while they serve their sentences.

Cpl (Join to see) - How would a poor mother from central America know anything about the laws covering asylum in the USA?
Most of those coming here are only in search of a safe and better life for their families.
Internment camps are not the answer.

Read the article stan. The left was ADVERTISING to foreign nationals through their consulates.

"A Spanish-language leaflet that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has provided to the Mexican Embassy in Washington advises border-crossing Mexicans that they can collect taxpayer-funded food stamp benefits for their children without admitting that they're illegal immigrants."

'The revelation that the USDA is actively working with the Mexican government to promote food stamps for illegal aliens should have a direct impact on the fate of the immigration bill now being debated in Congress,' Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in a statement.

'These disclosures further confirm the fact that the Obama administration cannot be trusted to protect our borders or enforce our immigration laws. And the coordination with a foreign government to attack the policies of an American state is contemptible.'

Probably a good thing none of them are still in the womb because Obama voted for partial birth abortions and voted for killing the baby if it survives the abortion procedure.............all that is OK.

Cpl (Join to see) - For a second I thought you meant they were dropping leaflets at the border or in Mexico. This was distributed by the Dept of Agriculture in Washington DC. Their main concern are the welfare of the children who are already here. Like it or not there are already millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

"The USDA's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, is funded in order to prevent hunger by helping poor families maintain a basic level of nutrition for both adults and children."

That's the bottom line.
