All four service chiefs denounce racism in wake of Charlottesville rally

PO1 Robert Payne - I think it is about exerting control. If you are not enthusiastic and motivated to the point of activism, you are suspect; and must face the consequences. It is thought police.

The murder defendant had enlisted in the Army. Perhaps they are trying to make a statement that it will not be tolerated. I have personally seen terrible, racist comments on supposedly military related Facebook pages that posted articles about Charlottesville- along with blaming the victim. It's terrible, and I am sure they are monitoring social media to get an idea of the pulse of the fringe that we all know most likely exists in the military. To ignore it would be a huge mistake. Of course, it doesn't mean that these folks are in the military, but it's absolutely likely.
