Good luck with your writing and thanks for sharing. I have untouched books everywhere, but dust some of the older ones off to refresh sometimes. I like the accounts of WWII from guys like Sledge i.e. With the Old Breed. Anything about Chesty, Smedley, Basilone or others always motivates me to push on. I wish there was more about Dan Daly. The Band of Brothers and Pacific series's on TV were commercial but still enjoyable and always make me think just how hard those men of The Greatest Generation were. This New Breed is no slouch and have carried on with Honor, despite a much less tolerant and supportive public. Korea and Viet Nam were hardly any cakewalk either. The Frozen Chosin survivors are a testament to perseverance and grit. The stand at Khe Sanh...Fallujah and on and on. Such as Regiments hand down forever. Best wishes Leatherneck and Semper Fi.

I am interested in your first person account of Marine Corps boot camp. Everyone had a different experience and basic combat training varies by service. My experience in Army Basic Combat Training in 1998 would be vastly different from your Marine experience in 1969. Congratulations on publishing!
