Perhaps it would be easier if there were better recruitment efforts and incentives for those that have a natural affinity for information systems. One would know if there was an affinity if we actually did more cross training in cybersecurity.

A1C Ian Williams agreed, but there's no way the government can compete with the wages said people can make in the private sector. Whereas China can just force you in to servitude.

SSgt (Join to see) Point well taken. Of course, one cannot put a dollar amount on service to one's country. I am still going to press for better wages for our techies. Mostly because despite what mass media tells you, the new frontier of political ideologies clashing against one another is the tenuous control we have over the information systems. I would like to think that in an emergency everyone is qualified not just one. Policy is hard to change but perhaps the conversation can still be heard.
