An interesting trend. The one thing in common, I saw, was that they were all prior service, which explains the higher age. I think there was a discussion a few days ago on RP about the ranking tiers & one of the comments was that perhaps prior service/currently enlisted should get priority consideration to service academies.

A positive trend that's for certain. Thanks. I hope the Air Force continues this positive trend it was only several years back when the trend of converting blur(Air Force and Navy) was a trend due to cut backs in those two services! Thanks for posting!

Now remember when you go back in if you are older and already have a degree ?!? Don't forget to look into "direct appointment" options for a commission!

1LT (Join to see) that's like my buddy going through AF flight school. He is a former SGT in the Corps & was an E-5 w/ the AF Reserve before getting his slot in OCS/Flight School. I told him to expect the call sign "Pappy" since he's quite a bit older than the other guys/gals...lol
