"While air strikes may be viewed as defensive or punitive, if the Afghan government wants to halt Taliban gains, the Taliban must be forced to pay a heavy price for massing and striking outposts, bases, and district centers. Hitting Taliban forces as they travel in convoys or after they overrun bases will force its military commanders to reconsider their tactics, which have proven successful in all areas of Afghanistan."

How is it that with complete overhead intelligence and overwhelming tech abilities - we still find ourselves unable to interrupt the Taliban? I also liked the chime in on that the article threw about the use of open communications as well - that was a 3 point shot.

LTC Eric Udouj I think the Taliban is taking advantage of the fact that we are distracted by ISIS. We seem to have had a very pussy-footed tactic. We seem to go on the offensive for a brief time, and then go back to reactionary. Perhaps I'm straight wrong on this, but this is what it appears viewing from afar.
