I grew up in Southern Utah. On of the greatest things about the place is the National Parks nearby. Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Arches National Park, Canyon Lands National Park. I Hiked Angels Landing when I was a senior in High School. Back then they didn't have ropes. If you are a hiking enthusiast Zion Nation Park is a great place to go. If you ever get a chance to go, I very much recommend it. One of the most beautiful places.

I went to visit Monument Valley a few years ago. It's still as strangely wonderful as it was, when I was a child.
