Have you READ any history? We, the Spanish, and damn near everyone else have been fighting the Moros (Southern Philippine Moslems) for literally CENTURIES! To have the Moros turn their backs on ISIS is a major development. On a side note, we owe the US military's adoption of the good ol' M1911 to the Moros.

Yes I do read history but this isn't about me, so I'll ignore your comment. If you look at more recent history we have the hijacking of a train in the Netherlands by Moluccans, They claim all of Mindanao, and much of Indonesia. They may be Muslim but so is Indonesia. The new President of the Phillipines has made it clear he doesn't like us. Side note: it was during the Phillipine Insurrection that an American Officer was tried and convicted of waterboarding a prisoner.

SSG Edward Tilton - At no point in the story did it say that Americas help was asked for or needed. It did say: A militant leader, Isnilon Hapilon, “is no longer being seen but his whereabout has not been confirmed,” he said. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana has said in recent weeks that Hapilon, among the most-wanted terror suspects by the United States, may still be in Marawi, hiding in a mosque.
