Sunday, February 19, 2012 : Mexico's Deadliest Prison Riot in Apodaca as GDG and Zetas Clash.
Although this happened not to long ago. This is food for thought when it comes to our neighbors south of the Border.
Jorge Domene, security spokesman for Nuevo Leon state, said that the prisoners died when inmates from one cell block invaded another cell block in a prison in Apodaca, a few miles from the city of Monterrey, Mexico's industrial capital. Mr. Domene said it was likely that the killing involved "a feud" between members of the Zetas drug cartel and the rival Gulf Cartel.

Neat little bit of Mexican history. I guess that's 40 or so we don't have to worry about coming herel. Too bad it wasn't more.

Not sure what your point is......Mexico is bad because they have gang warfare? Do we not have gang warfare and prison riots on this side of the border? I live in an area where there is a large Hispanic population, and I got to tell you.....most of them are religious, family oriented, and hard working people. There are bad elements in any society, and in any culture.

Just some events that occurred in Mexico within their prison system. I too live in mostly Hispanic countryside in Texas. Most I know very well. But I am pointing out our porous borders and the drug problems surrounding cartels. Just history SSgt Gary Andrews . Some folks are not aware this.
