There's a simple answer to this. Trash your Apple products and buy others. No one can make you purchase Apple products. I have been a party to the birth of the Information Age beginning in the 1960's when the Army put me on the management team of a project to automate strategic communications. During that time I have been assailed by Apple fans for not buying and using the best. Honestly, I was willing to admit that Apple had the advantage in some areas, but not sufficient to warrant the cost. Even today, I buy and use perfectly competitive smart phones at half the price of Apple iPhones and, to be perfectly honest, I have preferred these other brands because the ones I chose outperformed the Apple iPhone in camera and screen resolution (which was always one of my leading purchasing criteria).

BTW, you can do the same with your government. If you don't like what they're doing, elect better people...
