With no more than a few tweets and some simple jawbone POTUS has done more than anyone before him. Why do some people want to credit others? No one knows..

For what? The only reason this is happening is that NK was finally able to have a viable nuclear arsenal and can now bargain from a position of power. Before they had nothing to barter with and were therefore at a disadvantage to more capable countries.

You know, Obama called for peace talks with NK, and that was BEFORE they were nuclear capable and he got called a traitor. Now that Trump tossed out a few tweets and got dragged to the table because NK can now nuke parts of our country he gets a Peace Prize? Ah, the hypocrisy, gotta love it!

If Trump allows the NK to come to the table WITH their nukes instead of denuclearizing BEFORE the talks, all he is giving them is validation and a realization that they can get whatever they want as long as they hold nukes over our head. Not exactly a prime example of a person worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize.

It’s probably the fact they have displayed the capacity to hit the entire United States with nukes and have solidified themselves as a world power. The North is now negotiating from a position of strength (Don’t misunderstand this as a knock on President Trump). Kim also stated he wants to unify their countries, which I find interesting. President Trump probably has very little to do with this, just good timing for him to get credit. On the other hand he has probably done more than previous presidents on the matter. Saying that, it would be an amazing feat of American Exceptionalism to believe he deserves it for this.

Food for thought, does China's Xi Jinping deserve the Nobel Peace Prize as well?
