Really don't care about most of this being it's old rehashed stuff, but the wall is still a important issue. I do not believe for one second any wall would keep out a determined individual or individuals. Building this wall as long as the Great Wall in China is a fail before it begins, and had it been proposed as a more productive means rather than a "slogan", I think more would be open to it. But the cartels aren't lying down...they're bringing in professional engineers from outside countries to design tunnels, and for every one found, there are ten more still there. A wall won't stop that, and there are meters already there that are supposed to sense when someone is digging. Not that deep I guess. Tax breaks saving folks a ton, the best since WWII. Not really if Regan's tax breaks were the best since then and now. Military enjoyed HUGE raises compared to now. Hell when I came in my yearly raises were HUGE compared to the 1.something we were "happy" to get at the end of my career. Looking at things from all sides is better than pledging to any party. Makes you blind and ignorant to the "fake-news and alternate truths" coming from the "Alt-whatever". Glad to be independent and able to think on my own not tied to any party.

I hear this won't work, but no solution to the problem of illegal immigration. My preference is to use existing laws, which would eliminate the magnets drawing them here. Since that doesn't seem to be a possibility, the wall wins, even if only symbolism that the welcome mat for illegals has been tossed in the nearest dumpster. If we must have labot, work up an enforceable visiting worker program.

Do you have a fever Master Chief? Are you getting "nicer"? Normally you're one of the bigger firebrands on here. If I need a search party, what are you drinking tonight? Seriously, enforcing what we have, strengthening the amount of BP along with higher wages would be a HUGE step forward in this. How bad would temptation be to let something slide when you're making 40K a year, have a family to feed, but can make that AND another 50k tax free looking the other way at the right times? Those are our first liners and are treated and paid less than the third stringers....on the Cowboys developmental cheerleading squad. It shouldn't be that way at any time.

I think walls help. Seems to have prevented some North Korean shenanigans. If you increase no go areas it is easier to monitor accessible routs. Then it might also prevent Mexican government incursions into the US reduce tensions. It is my understanding that Mexican military personnel have fired into the US.

Mines stopped North Korea. Walls won't do anything. The way to stop it is to cripple the companies that employ illegals. Here in Dallas there's half a million the average one has two jobs and they're buying up most of the affordable homes.
