If you are too short, then you don't ride. If you are too tall, then you don't ride. If you are pregnant, then you don't ride. If you have heart conditions, then you don't ride.
For years we've gone to theme parks and accepted the safety warnings. Why the sudden change in mentality??? Why are we in such a rush to claim victimhood??? I feel bad for the kid of course, but he was born without hands. If you can't hold on to the safety bar, then likewise you shouldn't be riding the ride.
I even love how the mother says that her child doesn't have to prove he can hold on to the ride without hands. But I can bet top dollar if her son flew off the ride and died that she'd be the first one bringing a lawsuit.
The article is obviously biased against the park, but personally, I'm siding with the park on this.

I have mixed thoughts, but in the end I'm with you @Cpl Justin Goolsby. (Not sure why it won't let me tag you properly) We've always had rules that kept folks off the rides for various reasons. Park liability has always taken priority over ride going fun.

Agreed, mixed feelings are acceptable because this could have been resolved very easily if the child demonstrated that he was perfectly capable of maintaining a safe grip. But I think the mother instigated much of this for the purpose of claiming discrimination.
