Argument over critical race theory ruins 5K base fun run

There is a valid reason for a Fun for Fun's sake 5K run (notice I did not say race) and the purpose is to bring families and people in general to set aside a time for a Fun type of outing... It breeds camaraderie among men, women, children, etc. For serious Runners, this is not for them... I say let the fun begin and let all have a great time, regardless of where or when it is held... There is always someone or some group who does not want anyone to just have fun, which destroys the whole purpose of it being set up in the first place... Just saying...
