Comments of Army West Point Head Football Coach Jeff Monken now 3-2 on the season after last week's 13-6 loss in the rain at Duke. Black Knights return home for first time in a month to play Lafayette Saturday at 12 Noon.

they got hosed ... That game should have been postponed... The Rain from Hurricane Matthew was a little more than just Rain... more like torrential down pours...

This coaching staff has brought in a lot of talent, just look at how many sophs are playing, defense is playing well across the board, offensive line generally is handling and wearing down larger defensive lineman. Watch for a big score tomorrow.

Ken Kraetzer, don't get me wrong, I want Army to win all the time (unless they play my alma mater). However, I don't see how this can be considered a real contest. Army is an FBS (1-A) team and Lafayette is an FCS (1-AA) team. Sagarin favors USMA by 36.07 points! Winning this game will not be an indication that Army is back on track.
What I do find gratifying is that Sagarin (as of this writing), mercifully and miraculously only favors Navy over Army by 4.77 points were the contest to be held this weekend. Should Army lose to Navy this year, it'll be their 15th straight loss. If Army wins against Navy, that should be the indicator that Army has turned the corner and I hope that they do.
