Yup... and when we get our ass handed too us somewhere the blamestorming will begin...

A few years ago I read that the Israelis had developed an active defense system for vehicles that was showing signs of success. Sadly, I wasn't surprised that the US declined to look at it and set an American contractor or two on the path to developing one of our own. Who cares if a few tanks were blown up and some GI's died in the interim. It seems that the equation still hasn't changed...

This sounds just like upgraded "reactive Cobham Armor" so popular during the waning years of the Cold War. They never learn ... same whore, different dress.
