Somehow...I made it through nearly a decade in the Navy, and have ZERO tattoos. Probably because any time that notion struck me, I had already spent all my money on booze.

LCDR Joshua Gillespie several of us have made up for you. I, much like you- spent way to much on booze and girls. When I didn't have one or the other my expendable income increased exponentially- hence the next questionable decision. and so on and so on....

My company commander in Boot Camp, a BM1, had none. His explanation was to ask how tattoos looked on an old man. (Today, man woman or other) Made a lasting impression on me.
