I understand the need for staying in top physical condition but I go back to what my father told me. In 3 years of combat during WWII, the only time he ever ran anywhere was in basic training

That's too bad because I was a cross country runner. I was gonna go to airborne school on my civil affairs unit but I broke my ankle in combatives.

Mediocrity is the new standard...

I was a cross country runner myself during my high school days. It helped me build character.

CPT (Join to see) Ariel, Those days when you could run a 4 mile race in community college on Thursday and then run and then 10K Run on Saturday for fun. Those were the days when you were young and you could recover easily.

Pain is weakness, leaving the body. This was a good pain though...
