Also keep in mind that for Guard and Reserve you do not exactly need to have a "feeder" MOS. What I mean by that is they will take you civilian skills in to account. So you are in a MOS that is not a feeder MOS, but say your are an Engineer on the civilian side, then you just might meet the qualifications. So don't look at just the MOS talk to your Career Counselor and get their advise and see if you might qualify.
What an outstanding opportunity! Lots of Warrants were made during Vietnam for rotary wing pilots. I had many Sergeat peers ( including myself) who applied for Warrant school in Rucker Alabama. My eyes were just outside normal limits uncorrected, so I didn't make it, but many friends did and went on to great aviation careers. This sounds like an excellent opportunity!
The last board selected ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of those qualified. Now is the time to go warrant, even if your NCOER's have a few minor blemishes. Honestly I don't know why they struggle to find enough people to apply. There are a lot of 42A's and 25B's that go stagnate as an E5/E6 due to slotting issues, yet the WO Corps wants them. My suggestion, APPLY, even if you are unsure. Once you're selected, embrace it.
