I had a personal Sig for years, fired 10,000+ rounds through it. Never had a misfire, never had a misfeed, and it ate any crappy ammo I put through it. Granted, I was religious about cleaning it, and it was range time only, not combat conditions.... Not sure why there are so many problems with this one.

Id imagine there are some issues with it, but Id also bet a good portion of the problems stem from user error, like idk... dropping a loaded gun!

SPC David Willis - Unfortunately, you know that they can't put that in the report! They have to make up some contractor speak for it.

Misfires or Misfeeds, the Army always trains for those kind of problems. When it doesn't become a problem, is when you are trained on, and become proficient in dealing with it. Once you become very familiar in dealing with the problem, it becomes second nature, and instinct will take over. Be well knowledgeable on what needs to be done, and practice often. "Smooth is Fast." Salute!

Good choice for the Army, they all are good handguns no matter what the brand. Training will always get you over the top. I have a Sig 226, 250, S&W, Ruger and Colt handguns, they're all good shooters, it just comes down to who is shooting. "Smooth is Fast!"
