Bling? Honestly I've been out for many, many years but this seems like everybody who shows up gets a shiny doodad to parade around civilians, who in turn will ask you how many people you killed, not that you did something they wouldn't do,go where they wouldn't go and to top it off when you get out have a VA system that fails you when you need it most, well off the subject I guess ,but my thoughts this rainy day.

This is not ‘Bling’, this is a Distinguished Medal, undoubtably you Cain’t qualify for one, civilians is going to ask you, have you killed anyone, I say yes, I don’t lie, Sgt. Phillip you are very Angry, I was too, but you have to forgive the Army and America, for messing you up, get your Compensation, and enjoy life, Thanks for Serving.

PFC Howard Bryant Blackshear-I was awarded the CIB way back in 1967 ,there are the time was no Expert Action Badge so know nothing about it,I admit that certain times over the past fifty years or so I’ve been angry with VA system and it’s treatment of Veterans,I don’t have to forgive the Army or my Country they did no wrong to this old grunt,I also have no claims for compensation now or when my enlistment ended in 1968,be well Brother.

This is a ""CAB"", Combat Action Badge, and not a ""EIB""Expert Infantry Badge, All that Served in Combat, the badge has a ""WREATH""Around it, to prove that you were on the ""FRONT LINES"", in COMBAT"".

It's nice to see that someone took the time to look up what the "WREATH" means when you haven't seen combat or served in a combat zone then it tells everyone that you are one of the best in your MOS .

The EFMB “bling” is a tough bit of tin to earn. With pass rates of 4-11%, it’s not a gimme. For those that have endured and earned it, they should wear it with pride.
